The Intel Matrix Storage Manager is a driver package to provide support for hard drives which are used in a server based environment. High capacity drives, SATA RAID 10 arrays which are fault tolerant for extra redundancy on a range of Intel 4 and 3 series, as well as 965, 955X, 945 and 965 chipsets are all supported. SATA RAID 0 and SATA RAID 1 arrays are also supported with this driver on a number of Intel-specific chipsets. To operate using RAID disc technologies, an Intel-based SATA RAID controller hub is needed. The driver will not work on non-Intel processors.
