Personal time management software, Pomodoro App, renamed TeamViz, is named after an Italian kitchen timer shaped as a tomato. A very simple idea is to give you short breaks in between the 25 minutes working intervals, when working on a single task. After four 25 – minutes Pomodoros, you get 25 minute break.
This technique allows to significantly increase your productivity, as well as lets you analyze your schedule, distractions and time spent on each task. This application allows you to boost your productivity by splitting your working day into Pomodoro divisions and helps you stay focused when you need to perform a series of killer tasks.
Installation of TeamViz is simple and straightforward and requires your email address for synchronization. Please note that the free version offers synchronization option for the first month only. If you choose to encrypt your data, make sure to have your password when you need it because once lost it cannot be recovered. The application works with Microsoft windows XP and higher. TeamViz is also available for Mac OS and Ubuntu, as well as Android. We're reviewing the Windows version here though.
TeamViz comes in three editions: free, professional for $1.99 per month and company for $49 per month. TeamViz Lite is free and offers project management, task planning, Pomodoro timer, statistics and reports, security and customer support. The following features are available in the free version during the first month only: data backup, synchronization across different devices, such as Mac, Windows and Ubuntu, as well as Android. The free version offers only one user account while the only difference between professional and company versions is in the number of user accounts: professional version has only one user account, and Company version has 12 user accounts.
TeamViz has a modern, yet simple interface. Main window is divided into two panels: the left one displaying today's date and statistics about pending tasks, completed tasks and Pomodoros achieved. It also gives you the option to add your custom list, as well as synchronize your data with your email or mobile devices, create productivity reports, adjusts settings or visit the help page. The left panel contains your lists: default list, today's tasks and unplanned tasks. You can customize this panel by hiding or adding lists. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly.
The application is lightweight and runs silently in the background, if you choose for it to run silently. You can choose to have your countdown tic –toc for you as you work, helping you to stay focused on the task at hand. It is an easy-to-handle and customizable project management tool which allows you to plan your tasks, to set timers for these tasks, to take short breaks between the tasks, to analyze your productivity and work towards enhancing it.
Data backup and multi-device synchronization in the free version work only during the first month.
Free application allows only one user account.
