"Keep track of your daily schedule."
Calendarscope is a calendar software package which can help manage daily events like meetings and appointments. Birthdays, vacations and other special events can also be entered into Calendarscope to help ensure no one misses a birthday or Christmas party event.
Events can be viewed on a daily, five day, weekly, monthly or yearly view to take a quick look or a more distant perspective on the upcoming tasks and events. The special Calendar view can be used to get a snapshot of a full day's events.
There is a useful drag and drop feature that allows the user to move an event from one date to another without needing to re-enter the information again. Events can also be extended by copying an event across more than one date.
Either the TaskPad or Task list will show tasks that are upcoming, overdue, or completed. Tasks can be easily entered either with a due date or without one.
There are also two other apps that help to extend usefulness of using Calendarscope:
DSClock is an app that works with Calendarscope data to provide a digital clock and information about upcoming events in a mini display.
The software also works with HandySync via iOS, Android, Blackberry and Palm digital devices to sync data between the Calendarscope app and the Google Calendar system. There is also a network edition of HandySync for businesses.
The installation requires 11.6 MB of available space. The installation completed without any issues.
There was no adware, toolbars, malware or spyware included with the setup package.
Calendarscope requires Windows 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 Technical Preview.
There is also a portable edition and a network edition.
The interface is colorful when used to the fullest because different task entries will show up in a multitude of colors. Multiple monthly calendars are shown down the right sidebar.
There is a basic menu at the top and some calendar-based toolbar buttons to change the view to a one day, 5 day, 7 day, or 31 day view. Other viewing options are also available.
Overall, the interface is easy to understand. The app does start blank unless data is imported from a well-used Google Calendar and existing events synced into the app.
