The program employs different data sanitizing algorithms, including zero-filling, U.S. DoD 5220.22-M method, Bruce Schneier's algorithm, and Peter Gutmann's algorithm.

- SMS based wiping - SecuWipe will wipe selected data files if a specific SMS with password is received.
- Wiping on Untrusted SIM will wipe selected data if an unknown SIM is inserted into the device SIM slot.
- No SIM or Phone off will wipe the device if it has been stolen and the intruder has removed the SIM card or disabled the phone option.
- Time based wiping - SecuWipe will wipe the desired data on hourly, daily, monthly or yearly basis.
