Private Disk extends the life of your USB flash drive, by applying caching mechanisms whenever the contents of the drive are processed. Your data are now truly portable, as you can encrypt your information on USB flash drives, CDs, DVDs (etc.) and work with the protected files on any computer without installing the software locally. The automated safe hardware removal procedure will
keep you away from accidental data loss. The reliability of the encrypted container is further enhanced by the built-in backup option, which allows you to create compressed backups of the contents of the drive, and of the encryption key. This makes disaster recovery a simple process. All the information protected by Dekart Private Disk is transparently encrypted with Dekart's NIST-certified implementation of AES 256-bit - the strongest encryption algorithm available today. Private Disk supports all the versions of Windows that are in common use, providing the same features, whether you use the discontinued Windows 98, or the new 64-bit releases of Windows. The program is perfect for both - individual use, and deployment across corporate networks.
