Some of the open source programs and software are just amazing. Songbird is a simple media browser with a built-in web play supported by Mozilla – the Firefox people. Installation is a breeze and you also get the option of loading your directory of iTunes or other music directories at that time. You can choose to add it or import it later after installation. This product is compatible with all versions of the Windows operating platforms.

There are plugins that Firefox offer that will complement Songbird and Firefox is a name you can trust. You can use Songbird to import your whole iTunes list. Listening to music on the web is quick and easy and choosing from the complete range of music stations is the hardest thing you will have to do. It can be slow to load for some people and of course, this is only a surfing, listening to music and music download application so you will not be able to use it to rip MP3s or create other music formats onto your CD or DVD. 

There are a whole host of free and paid music players available such as MediaMonkey and Spider Player. These are both simple and basic music players which perform great. However, they are less developed than Songbird and have limited functions.
