This is Blizzard's game client for World of Warcraft, both US and Europe (English) versions.

Important note: you don't have to download this client if you already have a DVD copy of the WoW game. This is a Digital Download for which you have to buy a license key from Blizzard's online store.

Installation notes:

The setup file is actually a small download manager of only 30.6 MB (US) and 30.9 (EU) which will start the main download.

After you run the installer, you can change the destination folder for your World of Warcraft game. Next, the actual game client sizing 10.47 GB will start downloading in the folder you previously chose so make sure you have enough space on that disk partition.

The installer is quite complex and has a few stages. Called the Cataclysm Launcher, it actually allows you to start playing the game before the full download is completed.

There are 3 stages of the install:
1. Setup: the main files (core files) of the game, around 1GB, are being installed, so you can't enter the game, yet.
2. Available: the major components of the game, 5.9 GB, are not completely installed, you can play but your game experience won't be ideal.
3. Playable: almost done, the remaining 3.6 GB components are being added, you can play with minor game issues.

The install process has a resume option as well, so you can close it anytime you wish and start again later on. It will continue the setup process from where it was left of.

To play the game you need to buy a license key from Blizzard's online store http://blizzard.com/store/browse.xml?f=c:1,f:1. Look for World of Warcraft®: Cataclysm™ or related special deals you find interesting.

If you don't want the full version from the start, you can choose to start playing with the Free Starter Edition, which has several limitations, according to Blizzard. The Free Starter Edition Installer is available from our 3rd download link.
