Simple Shop is a point of sale software package that can be used at the checkout via touchscreens to sell items to customers. The software also has back-end functionality for managers to access the terminal information via a remote desktop support feature. There is an Android app to enable the same managers to access information while on the move, and check up on today's sales while out of the office, warehouse or store.
The system works with NFC RFID cards inside products to help track the products and match the items at the register to bill them correctly. Traditional bar codes can also be accessed via a scanner attached to the computer. The software can be setup to function only between certain times of the day and days of the week in order to prevent usage out of hours.
Deals effectively with multiple point of sale terminals but also multiple branches as well which can cope with business expansion plans. Web radio stations that are commercial-free can be streamed through the software. A cashbook and the ability to export financial data in suitable formats for financial packages is also supported. Other reports and information can also be accessed.
The software is designed to run on its own without the need for an IT team to install or manage it.
There are several versions of Simple Shop software available depending on the user's requirements. The RFID advanced features are only featured in the most expensive, Simple Shop Ultimate version.
The installation process completed normally. There were no unwanted extras like spyware or adware included in the setup package.
Simple Shop requires Windows Vista, 7, 8, Server 2012, 10 Technical Preview and also tested using Wine app on Linux. The software also requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or later.
The interface follows a simple layout which can be further filled out when products are added to the system which will then include them in the main touch-screen display. There is a running total, a separate calculator, totals, and options to process payments via cash, card, etc.

Simple Shop is an excellent point of sale system with a number of versions depending on which features are required. The interface is simple, supports multiple terminals in multiple locations via remote access. Sales and reporting can be exported. There is also an Android app.
