"Easily edit dozens of photos at once. Try it!"

Overview

If you have way too many pictures in your collections that you would like to manipulate, then you’d need a software that is capable of performing several operations on them but without being too complicated and unstable. That’s why BatchPhoto is an excellent choice for this kind of purposes, as it has features and tools that allow you to process many files in a small amount of time, including conversion, renaming and FTP uploading tasks. With BatchPhoto you can also upload photos to Facebook or Picasa as well.

Installation

As soon as you launch the installer you will be asked to choose installation language. Then the package’s contents will be extracted and the installation wizard will open, which will guide you through the installation process. It is fairly straightforward and quick.

No malicious items were found in our virus scans, and no 3rd party software is included either.

BatchPhoto is available for Windows and Mac, but we'll focus on the Windows version now.

Interface

When running the program for the first time you will be asked to select the edition of the program you’d like to use (Home, Pro and Enterprise). After picking the desired edition, the main window will open and a first time wizard will welcome you with useful information. Tutorials are included in this wizard as well.

The main window has a pane on the left that consists of the Wizard Steps box and the Properties box. The first box is called “Wizard Steps” due to the fact that the editing process is divided into 3 steps: Add Photos -> Edit Photos -> Setup. The first step is where you choose the photos you want to add and process. You may choose more than one, and you can add them from your computer or directly from a camera. A preview window is located on the bottom right corner. The second step is where the whole editing process takes place. Click “Add Filter” to open a window with the available filters and add them into the Filters list. A preview is shown on the right side of the main screen. After finishing making changes to the image, click Next to move to the final step. From there you can select output folder and format. Click on the Process button to finalize the operation.

Pros

There are tens of filters included in the program: Annotation filters (Comments, Date/Time, Watermarks), Decoration filters (Shape/Grunge/Picture/Vintage frame, shadow etc.), Effects (Blur, Charcoal, Edge, Emboss, Gaussian Blur, Black & White, Implode, Negate, Noise, Sepia, Solarize, etc.) Touch-Up filters (Auto Contrast, Auto Gamma, Auto Levels, Brightness, Contrast, Color Balance etc.) and Transformation filters (Auto Rotate, Crop, Rotate etc.).

The supported file formats are: BMP, EPS, PICT, GIF, JP2, JPC, JPG, PCX, PDF, PNG, PSD, SGI, TGA, TIF, WBMP, 3FR, ARI, ARW, BAY, CAP, CIFF, CR2, CRW, DCR, DCS, DNG, DRF, EIP, ERF, FFF, IIQ, K25, KDC, MRW, MEF, MOS, NEF, NRW, ORF, PEF, PTX, PXN, RAF, RWL, RW2, RAW, SR2, SRF, ART, AVS, CGM, CIN, CMYK, CMYKA, CUR, CUT, DCM, DCX, DIB, DOT, DPX, EMF, EPDF, EPI, EPS2, EPS3, EPSF, EPSI, EPT, FAX, FIG, FITS, FPX, GPLT, GRAY, HPGL, HTML, ICO and many others.

You can perform actions on multiple files (such as conversion and renaming) in a single session.

Cons

It has no cons.

Alternatives

Ashampoo Photo Converter 2 (paid) has many useful options similar to BatchPhoto. Other image manipulation editors are Irfanview (free) and PhotoScape (free).

Conclusion

This is a wonderful program that will give you the chance to convert and edit all your images in a quick and easy way.
