"Add Watermarks to Photos Batch"

Overview

PhotoImp Watermark is a software that will give you the power to conveniently add logos and watermarks to your photos. After defining your watermark you can save it as a template and then use it as every time you want to add it to your images. BPW has plenty of tools to help you do your job with minimum effort but maximum quality and best results.

Installation

Run the installer and follow a set of few and simple steps in order to complete the installation process. You won’t be asked to make any settings throughout the procedure so just keep calm and move forward. As for additional 3rd party software and malware, worry not because the program is 100% clean from either.

Supported operating systems are Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. A version for Mac OS X users is available as well.

Interface

You might find the program a bit intimidating at first due to its feature-rich interface, but as you work with it you will see that it’s not as complicated as it seems. At the top is a menu bar with 5 buttons (Add, Manage, Clear, Options and About) which you can use to start new projects, delete existing ones, open the settings windows, etc. The main screen in the center is where open images are displayed and edited. There are two horizontal panes in each side of the window; the one on the left is for creating a new watermark and adding text, images, date/time and making other settings, whilst the pane on the right side is for saving the watermark as a template, saving images and converting images into other formats. At the bottom is a belt with thumbnails of all open images.

Pros

After opening the image(s) you want to add watermarks to, use the left pane to start working on them. You can add copyright signs, text, logo, date/time, as well as lines that strike through the picture. All of those features can be adjusted to fit your taste and needs.

There are many built-in watermark templates for you to use when you don’t want to spend time creating your own. Find them in the drop-down menu at the top of the right pane, along with any custom ones you saved.

The output images can keep their original format, or they can be converted into one of the available file types (BMP, JPEG, TIFF, PNG and GIF).

When working with many images, the same watermark can be applied to all of them automatically. This batch image-processing feature is really useful and saves a lot of time and effort.

Cons

No cons here.

Alternatives

Some alternatives to BPW are Mass Watermark (paid), BatchMarker (paid) and SizeRox (paid). All of them have nice features and can be used to add watermarks to your images in batches.

Conclusion

With a few mouse clicks you can protect your images by adding text or external images/logos on top of them. The watermarks can be greatly customized and saved for future use, making it a handy and powerful application.
