Best Quick-Fix games for iOS and Android

This time around we’re presenting to you a list of games that belong to the Quick-Fix category. That means games that have quick levels and missions. Such games are among the favorites simply because they don’t require lots of thought or special gaming skills. The rules are simple and clear, although the mission can be hard despite the Quick-Fix aspect. That creates a good balance of enjoyment and challenge that doesn’t let you to get bored.

Below is a list with what we consider to be the best Quick-Fix games. For your convenience the list is separated into Free and Paid games. Let's begin with the Free games first.

Ruzzle Adventure (iOS, Android) by MAG Interactive

In Ruzzle Adventure the player has to clear clever word puzzles through hundreds of levels, while advancing further into the forests of Ruzzle Adventure. This game has fairly simple rules and an admittedly easy gameplay. The puzzles are certainly challenging, so put that all together and you have a great word puzzle game.

Smash Hit (iOS, Android)by Mediocre AB

In this game the player must destroy all kinds of obstacles and targets in futuristic dimensions. The game includes over 50 rooms enhanced with 11 graphic styles and music that matches each stage and the actions the player performs. To be a successful player in Smash Hit, you must not lack concentration, have high alterness levels and have a tendency (or urge) to break glass things.

Mr. Crab (iOS) by Illusion Labs

Mr. Crab is an incredibly fast arcade game. You're in control of Mr. Crab and you have to help him jump to the top, rescuing as many baby crabs as possible. All you have to do is to tap on your screen to jump and start climbing to reach the top of the spinning tower. But things aren’t as easy as you’ll have to face many enemies on your way.

There are 14 levels to unlock for free (such us Beach Party, Hermit Heights and Acorn), while the rest are available via IAP. During your quest you’ll come across various types of enemies in several levels. It’s actually up to you to decide how you’ll defeat them; otherwise, they will defeat you.

Tetris® Blitz (iOS, Android) by Electronic Arts

EA takes Tetris to a whole new level with this game and I promise you, you will be fascinated by the gorgeous graphics and fast-paced gameplay. In Blitz (which is available both for iOS and Android) you must score as high as possible in just two minutes, by clearing lines and racking up as many points as you possibly can. You can also play against other players in limited-time Tournaments. Blitz also offers unique control options, such as the Drag-and-Place feature that lets you tap and drag pieces with precision, the extremely fast One-Touch control system, or the Swipe system in which you use the original controls. It’s a game that adds to the classical form of Tetris and it’s quite fun to play once you get used to it, mainly due to the fact that it’s hard to get used to its fast pace.

Farm Heroes Saga (iOS, Android) by King.comLimited

From the makers of big success "Candy Crush" comes "Farm Heroes saga". In this game instead of candies, the player has to switch and match the cute crops.

Farm Heroes need your help to stop Rancid the Raccoon from destroying the farms and crops. To do that you must switch and match three or more crops to drive Rancid away. A must game for everyone who enjoyed Candy Crush.

And we’re moving on to the Paid games of the list that as you’ll notice, includes more games than the Free equivalents.

Threes! (iOS, Android) by Sirvo LLC, $1.99

Threes! is a puzzle game about matching numbers which are multiples of three, and although the premise sounds easy and nothing exceptional, it’s extremely challenging and pushes the player’s brain skills beyond their limits. It includes many challenges, all of which are found in the same game mode. It’s not a free game, but it doesn’t include IAP and it doesn’t cost much either. The fact that it was chosen as game of the year says a lot about the impact it left on the players.

Cut the Rope 2 (iOS, Android) by ZeptoLab UK Limited, $2.99

Om Nom (the little green creature on the thumbnail) is back in this new adventure with new characters, gameplay elements and missions. This highly popular game made it to the top paid apps category and it’s not surprising at all. In Cut the Rope 2, the developers tried to give more emphasis on the storyline compared to the previous games.

Blek (iOS, Android) by kunabi brother GmbH, $1.99

Blek will fascinate you with its unique take on the Quick-Fix games and creativity. It's a game about drawing as you wish without being bound by certain movements.

The player must draw a line that collects all colored circles, while making sure they avoid all black holes that appear on the line's way. Each level has a different difficulty and other times you will find the solution being very simple and others you will be stuck trying to figure out how to draw due to the complexity of the route. What makes it stand out is that there isn't only one way to clear a level but many, and that gives you the freedom of expression and choice. But most of all you will fall in love with its elegance and gorgeous graphics.

Colossatron: Massive World Threat (iOS, Android) by Halfbrick Studios, $0.99

A game that is absolute chaos! You're literally controlling a giant robotic snake that came from outer space and you're driving it through cities and smashing everything in your way! Your goal is to create the strongest weapon, Colossatron in order to defeat General Moustache and his military forces and destroy as many cities as you possibly can. In order to make Colossatron stronger you have to find and slide to it pieces called Powercores that lock on its body. These pieces come in different colors and it’s up to you to choose where to put them. In addition you can unlock gadgets to turn Colossatron into an even more powerful and destructible weapon.

Did I mention that you experience everything through a TV station’s helicopter? Yeah, all your progress it recorded by a camera and with commentary by journalists Rick Dalton and Katie Hazard.

A crazy, fun game to have!

Blocky Roads (iOS, Android) by Dogbyte Games Kft., $0.99

A tragic story of man who lost his farm to a tornado. Now he travels the globe to find the missing parts and restore it in its previous perfect state. Well, not really tragic as it is a fun game thy promises to keep you entertained for a long time.

In this game you control the farmer, more specifically, his car, and go into an adventure to find your scattered farm while driving through hills, snowy mountains and deserts.

Stubies (iOS) by Creatiu Lab, $1.99

In Stubies, cute robot-like colorful creatures appear in the screen from any side and all of them walk in a straight line. Your job is to send them to the direction in which they will find another creature of the same color. When they stumble upon each other they will disappear from the screen and you’ll gain points. Each level gives you a goal of how many points you will have to collect and if you reach the desired amount, your score and time are calculated and you proceed to the next round. But how do you lose? Well, if Stubies move to the wrong direction and fall of the edges then it is gave over. Each Stubie that falls off costs you a star, and if you lose all three of your stars it’s all over.

At first you will notice that clearing a round is quite easy but don’t be fooled as things will eventually get crazy and you’ll need lots of patience. It’s a wonderful game.

Joe Danger Infinity (iOS) by Hello Games, $2.99

Joe Danger is a great Stuntman that does amazing tricks with his motorbike. Only…he is actually a kids’ toy and his adventures take place in a house. The Toy Story vibes are present but the game stands on its own and with great success. In Infinity you are controlling our hero who journeys in different rooms on his motorcycle and has to pass through obstacles and dangerous “roads” to clear the stage. On your way you collect coins and you also face bosses who won’t let you pass through. You can also change vehicle and choose among over 20 different ones. The graphics are beautiful and match the game’s funny and lighthearted atmosphere.
