Created by professionals and for professionals, it does everything that an excellent log analyzer should normally do. It can process multiple log files in a range of standard or custom formats. It supports compressed logs and can be run from the command line. It allows you to customize the look and content of reports. The data can be filtered using numerous filters and sorted by any field. These and other standard log processing and report building features alone would make it an excellent web statistics system with a more than competitive price. But these features are only the starting point for Alterwind's unique capabilities.
While other web statistics system normally use a simple list of URL masks to show the search engines from which your visitors arrive, Alterwind provides a database of more than 430 search engines and more than 120 on-line catalogs from all over the world. This database allows you to build unique reports showing comprehensive and trustworthy statistics about the search engines from which your visitors arrive, and the search keywords and phrases that were used. Alterwind collects some additional info from search requests, such as the number of the search results on the page which generated the visit. You can sort this info by country or language. Alterwind also helps you to track down the results of your pay-per-click and banner advertising campaigns. You can build custom reports for your promotion campaigns and even reveal fake referers with it.
