WebPen allows your website users to sign documents, forms, and agreements online using the mouse as a pen! Now legal documents and agreements can be displayed online and signed instantly right on your website using the mouse or touchpad as a pen. WebPen eliminates the traditional hassle of downloading, printing, signing, and faxing. Making the signup process easy avoids lost sales!
The signed document is instantly redisplayed to the signer with the signature in place and a copy of the signed document is stored on your server in PDF and in HTML format. WebPen is simple to install, requiring only PHP 4.3+. WebPen works with any type of web page extension that can display html code, including .htm .php .asp .jsp. WebPen uses cutting edge signature authentication technology, Signature Embedded Authentication, to actually encode the name of the signer, the date of the signing, the IP address of the signer, and the HTML code of the signed document directly within the signature image, creating a positive association between the signature and the document. This information can be viewed using any software capable of displaying IPTC image metadata. WebPen provides capability to upload a scan of an identifying document and associate it with the signature. WebPen now has automatic generation of a PDF copy of the signed document. New in version 4 is automatic mailing of the generated PDF file, and anti-aliasing of the signature image.
The free version has watermark behind signature and sending functions are disabled.
