AdaptCMS was created as a content management system that could be used with any content website and have the ability to easily customize every aspect of your site as you wish.

The start of the customization is content linking and custom fields. In the sections module you create a section (such as News, Games, etc.) and can link them up to each other, meaning when adding a news item in the content module you can click a specific game to link the news item to. Doing this, in your template you can show any data from a related game on that news story that you want. As well, you can relate as many items as you want to each other

Also new with 2.0 is a brand new template system powered by smarty and in the admin panel you can manage your skins along with making new templates and experamenting to your hearts desire.

Total user management is also very important in AdaptCMS with the trio of "Users", "Groups" and "Levels". Adding a group you can choose simple things like a name, color, image but the magic starts with total control of permissions. Permissions controls every aspect of all admin modules as well as specific content sections. The Users area lets you verify an account if it is required as well as editing, deleting or simply seeing the information on a user.

That's just a small part, but some of the most important aspects of AdaptCMS.

What's new in this version: Despite being a "minor version", this release still packs quite a bit more than we originally planned. The biggest part is a whole lot of bugs fixed, from the mod_rewrite to the plugins being fixed and in many other areas.
