ShadyTXT has been designed as a vastly superior alternative to Microsoft Notepad.

ShadyTXT has all of the features you want, and none of the features you don't want.

I created ShadyTXT because I was dissatisfied with the other Notepad replacements out there.

Features include: customizable text/background colors, URL highlighting/visiting, automatic check for updates, free and open source!
