"Speaking answering machine"
Active Phone Server is a way for computer users to connect up a phone line and let the PC manage the connection. The software can act as an answer machine which will provide a greeting in the form of a WAV file and then record a message; the message is also recorded for the user as a WAV file. When Caller ID is supported on the line and provided by the caller then this information will also be stored in the record. There is a dialer for calling up the ISP to make a dial-up connection; a sounds plays when a successful ISP connection is made. There is also an email checker.
