Komodo Edit 4.2 Publisher's description
Komodo Edit 4.2 is a free, multi-platform, multi-language editor for dynamic languages and Ajax technology, including Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby and Tcl; plus support for browser-side code including JavaScript, CSS, HTML and XML.
Background syntax checking and syntax coloring catch errors immediately, while autocomplete and calltips guide you as you write. Available on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. XPI extensions allow you to create your own plug-ins. XPI extension support provides the same capability as Firefox, with all standard Mozilla APIs based on XUL, XBL, and XPCOM, plus our own for Python and JavaScript.
Other features include Vi emulation, Emacs keybindings, code folding and code snippets.
Requirements: Windows x86 architecture, 233 MHz+ CPU (500 MHz+ PIII recommended), 128 MB RAM (256 MB+ recommended)
What's new in this version: Auto-update, Soft characters, Spell checker, Upgraded Scintilla to version 1.74, Code Browser's filter now supports regular expressions, Improved Vi emulation, Better Live Folders performance, Cursor shape is now configurable, Komodo Community site now hosts user-created extensions.
