"proxy finder checker and tunnel software"
Super Socks5Cap is a useful tool for network administrators and IT professionals that allows network applications to work through an HTTPS, SOCK4/SOCK5 proxy server, Super Network Tunnel Client or SSH Tunnel, even if they don’t normally support proxies. This way you can force your whole system to work through a specific proxy server you define. Super Socks5Cap has a proxy finder and checker tool that can scan and report loads of free proxies every day.
Run the installer and follow the small number of steps to complete the installation process. When it finishes you will be redirected to the product’s website to view more information about it. The setup package has been scanned and no viruses, spyware or any other kind of malware have been found; no additional software is included either.
Supported operating systems are Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 7 (32 and 64-bits).
The program’s interface is a bit complicated and it will certainly take some time to get familiar with it. The first time your run the program the Setup window will open in order to let you configure Super Socks5Cap. That window consists of several tabs: Proxy Setup, Program Via Tunnel Config, Tunnel All Mode Rule Config, ProxyChain Config and Miscellaneous. Each one has a lot of options and settings that you can adjust before the program can be used properly, but you can use the Wizard to help you make all necessary configurations step-by-step. When you’re done with all the settings you can finally view the main window, which has a few buttons at the top (Setup, Search, List, Add, Modify, Delete, DragBox, Run, Help and About) and a list with programs that are working through the proxy you selected earlier. You can switch proxies easily from the available drop-down menu under the toolbar.
This application’s purpose has many features which could be quite helpful, mainly to professionals. For example, it can “Tunnel” not only a selected few programs to operate through proxy, but the entire system and all of its applications without affecting their functions. It uses five types of proxy servers: Socks v4/v5, HTTPS, Super Network Tunnel Client Proxy, Super Network Tunnel Server Proxy and SSH Tunnel Proxy.
There is a tool in Super Socks5Cap that searches the internet for free proxies and displays a list with their statuses. In addition you could load a proxy from a local file.
Not exactly a con but be aware that you need time to configure the program and get it working the way you want. Spending time with it is a must if you want to get more comfortable with it.
SuperSocks (free) is an alternative software that gives you the chance to use any application through a proxy server. Much like SuperSocks5Cap, it has a bit complicated interface but is a decent freeware that is worth checking out if you don’t want to pay for this kind of program. Another substitute is Proxifier (paid) which the same purpose, although this one is available for Mac too.
A rare application with enhanced functionality that is recommended to more advanced users, since it implements a lot of features that are not easily comprehensible by novices.
