Vanguard authenticates users against the internal servers before processing mail for those accounts. This lightens the load on the main mail servers ensuring they continue to process good mail and resources are not wasted on unwanted messages. Users can manage their quarantine folders individually - a summary email reporting contents of their quarantine folder can be sent daily and from this they are able to whitelist, block, accept, delete and report false positives. Unlike other boundary protection systems, Vanguard has no limits on the number of messages processed or amount of bandwidth available.
