JAP Anonymity & Privacy verhindert, dass die Server von Website-Betreibern persönliche Daten von Ihnen erfahren und ermöglicht so ein anonymes Surfen. Hierfür tarnt das Tool Ihre tatsächliche IP-Adresse mit einer Adresse, die Sie sich mit anderen JAP-Nutzern teilen. Zwischengeschaltete "Mixer", über die Ihre ein- und ausgehenden Datenpakete ähnlich einem Proxy-Server laufen, sorgen die Anonymisierung. Dadurch erfährt weder der Ziel-Server noch ein Lauscher auf der Verbindung, welcher Nutzer welche Webseite aufgerufen hat. Das Tool benötigt das Java Runtime Environment.
