Having your website banned by a major search engine can be devastating. Googles Guidelines for Webmasters specifically states, Following these guidelines will help Google find, index, and rank your site, which is the best way to ensure you'll be included in Google's results. Adds Vaughn, Since Google handles over 36% of all the searches on the Web, being banned from Google, creates a variety of costs for a company like loss of traffic, the cost of revising the website to make it follow the rules and the cost of navigating the Google re-instatement process.
