Fall Focus: Making Media Meaningful
Dallas, TX October 25, 2005 Parks Associates announced today that Bradley Horowitz, Director of Technology Development, Search & Marketplace Group, Yahoo! Inc. will present the days closing keynote on November 10, 2005, for Fall Focus: Making Media Meaningful.
Fall Focus, hosted November 9-11, 2005, at the Fairmont San Jose, is an executive conference bringing together over 300 marketing and strategic planning executives. Leading market analysts Parks Associates will host the event, which will address strategies, product and service development, and future business growth regarding meaningful content delivery and media personalization.
Mr. Horowitz will address the conference attendees at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2005, with his keynote The Personalization of Video Content on the Internet. He will explore the proliferation of video content on the Web and the implications for consumers and content providers as the landscape changes. Further, he will discuss the current and future state of multimedia search as it pertains to both the Internet and consumers viewing habits, including how consumers will be able to add their own tags to content for future reference and share the tags with others.
As online video evolves, search engines will play a greater role in the distribution of mainstream and user-generated content, said Bradley Horowitz, director of technology development, search & marketplace group, Yahoo! Inc. Yahoo!s powerful video search technology, combined with its strong relationships with content providers, positions it to be at the forefront for online video entertainment.
Research from Parks Associates reveals that by 2009, entertainment spending among U.S. households will total $250 billion. In this time, consumers will witness an escalation in the amount of content and also gain more control over the presentation of that content.
