Version 4.2 of TimeCard gives more possibilities to all

kalmstrom.com Outlook Solutions has released a new version of the popular Outlook add-on that allows time reporting inside Outlook, directly from the calendar. Version 4.2 of TimeCard for Outlook adds valuable functionality to this simple and versatile tool for both Workgroups and Single users.

With TimeCard for Outlook users plan and report their time in the Outlook calendar. For each appointment they select one, two or three predefined properties from dropdown lists, and when the week is done they report to a database or an ASP page, still from within the Outlook calendar. This makes time reporting quick and minimizes the risk for mistakes and errors.

Version 4.2 of TimeCard for Outlook gives more possibilities to all users. Now it is possible to obtain more data for analyze in the integrated statistics and reporting tool ‒ without the users having to do more. A default value for fields that are left empty can also be set.

For the workgroup version of TimeCard there has been added a new table, which makes it possible for the administration to plan ahead according to the users' calendar entries. All reporting settings are the same, so that for example Private meetings can be excluded.

In spite of its simplicity, TimeCard for Outlook has a meta data construction that can give the management detailed information about how personnel use their time. When TimeCard users regularly send time reports into the database, the data can then be examined in the powerful integrated statistics tool OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel. With this tool, managers can create and generate reports and graphs based on the staff’s time reports. These reports will give the information needed to constantly adapt and improve services.

The language of TimeCard can be configured to 15 different European languages. By default it is set to the same as the operative system. TimeCard for Outlook has an MSI-based installer and is very easy to install.

At the kalmstrom.com website there are several video demonstrations of installation, settings and features, as well as downloadable manuals in Word format and a Power Point presentation. TimeCard users can also download a free add-on for Windows Mobile and create and edit appointments with TimeCard data in their handheld device.
