December 20 2003--The Vernier Networks System, a leader in Wireless LAN security solutions, offers EDUCAUSE - a nonprofit association to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology - secure wireless access to their network for their members.
To EDUCAUSE security is vitally important because every education institution that has a domain whose name ends in .edu is counting on EDUCAUSE to protect its network address from being spoofed or compromised. To protect the networks of all these institutions, EDUCAUSE needs to protect its own network.
The Vernier Networks System has enabled EDUCAUSE to meet all its goals for securing and managing the wireless network:

The Vernier Wireless Network Security solution EDUCAUSE has deployed is a 2U, rack-mountable unit that manages user authentication and access rights, provides continuous network access for users roaming among coverage zones, and provides administrators with system monitoring and accounting features.
