Turn system tray into your PC central command center.

Captain Tray Pro is a tiny software application that makes gigantic difference when it comes to organizing favorite programs, customizing the system tray and creating shortcuts for instantaneously minimizing windows, changing captions and doing a number of other tasks. Essentially, any user who invests an hour into investigating this tool is likely to completely abandon the traditional way of endless window browsing and using the Start menu to open documents and launch applications.

Captain Tray Pro has been on the market for over three years and is one of the few system tray customization tools to offer a major upgrade every six months or so. This is what the current 6.2 version does for its users:

First, the software instantaneously removes "windows clutter" from the task bar. Users can simply access any document or application, or switch from one from one active window/running application directly from the tray.

Second, Captain Tray organizes most frequently used programs according to individual user preferences, so any important application is only one click a way, no matter "where" in the operating system the user currently is.

Third, Captain Tray offers a Hideboard feature. This unique option works like a Clipboard for programs. A person simply "hides" any application there, so it does not take up space, and retrieves it from there, when necessary.

There are also a number of auxiliary functions offered by Captain Tray 5.5. For example, the program can place any program into tray upon startup. Or automatically hide windows (important, when working with sensitive data). Plus, the program offers window alarm clock and password protection options. It is only one of the two applications on the market that works with all window types - GUI, Console and DOS.
