Trilogic EDA to Resell DOCTAR Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Netlist Compare Tool

Long-standing Mentor and PADS VAR to market the DOCTAR netlist compare tool to its customers in Northeast United States. DOCTAR compares Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design databases and netlists and reports what's changed.

Wilmington, MA March 11, 2004 -- Cadalist-Enterprises has appointed Trilogic EDA[www.trilogic.com of Wilmington, MA as a reseller of the DOCTAR netlist compare software. Under the terms of the non-exclusive agreement, Trilogic will market DOCTAR to its extensive customer base of Mentor and PADs users in the northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.

DOCTAR Software compares Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design databases and netlists and reports what's changed. It is used for hardware design reviews, documenting ECOs, and validating designs migrated from one CAD system to another.

“DOCTAR is the only product we have seen that fully describes the impact of a board design change” said Chuck Donovan, VP of Sales and Marketing at Trilogic. “Many board design “tweaks” end up causing a cascade of changes to a board that aren’t often understood until the prototype comes back because there is so much focus on fixing the initial problem. Test points move, net lengths change causing time problems, etc. DOCTAR points out these issues in one easy-to-use report”.

DOCTAR supports Allegro, Cadence, GenCAD, Mentor, Orcad, P-CAD, PADS, PowerPCB, Viewlogic and other CAD input file formats. Reports are output in HTML web-browser and Excel formats with high-level summary as well as detailed reporting to component/net level. DOCTAR software runs under Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems.
