The network storage world is rapidly changing all the time
March 24, 2004 -- ISCSI (Internet SCSI) is an Internet Protocol and an IP-based storage networking standard for linking data storage facilities, developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Since ISCSI uses Ethernet, it doesn't have the complexities and distance limitations that get in the way of other storage protocols.
