"The Corporate Circus" as Office SitCom Adult Animation Television Project Sets its Licensing & Entertainment Sight at NATPE
Henderson, NV July 16, 2004 -- The Corporate Circus, the uniquely original and innovatively creative book-based property satirizing corporate culture, brings a fun and insightful look at the world of business through a range of licensing opportunities based on Adela JPs (Adela Josue Polin) book "The Corporate Circus," awarded a 5 STAR rave review by Midwest Book Review.
According to Midwest, The Corporate Circus is "a bizarre and fantastic tale told almost entirely in dialogue, with each corporate lackey player represented as an animal. The Corporate Circus by Adela JP offers the reader a genuinely fantastic interplay of office politics and an original "tongue-in-cheek" satire. HUMOROUS, WITTY, and ENGAGINGLY presented, The Corporate Circus is highly recommended reading which leaves a marked impression of business that combines the exotic with the all-too-real."
The Corporate Circus as a television series(www.thecorporatecircus.com/index1.html) will be presented at the upcoming NATPE TV PRODUCERS BOOT CAMP in West Hollywood on July 29-30 as both an Adult Animation show and as an Animated Interplay in a live action Office SitCom.
The Corporate Circus current product line, which includes 15 unique office humor characters in the form of collectible plush toys (www.thecorporatecircus.com/plush.htm), corporate satire book The Corporate Circus, and a colorfully illustrated comical corporate Org Chart poster, were recently premiered and enthusiastically received by industry professionals at the New York Licensing International Show, London Brand Show, PPAI/ASI Shows in Las Vegas.
The Corporate Circus book (www.thecorporatecircus.com/book.htm), a fantasy soap opera look at the workplace, details the office drama and travails of 15 key characters that Adela JP (pen name of Adela Josue Polin) created through satirizing office behavior and interactions that are prevalent in work environment settings. The property and book promote constructive fun that the author hopes will help employees laugh and relieve their tension by reminding them to see their demanding, sometimes frustrating job situations in a humorous and entertaining point of view.
Adela JP, author and creator of The Corporate Circus, is an MBA whose corporate experience led to the writing of The Corporate Circus as an entertainingly satiric look at corporate life in what she called, an intricately complete story adaptable for novelization, television and theatrical release, as well as a broad array of licensing categories.
Regarding licensing, Sariah Smalley, President of Keyline Licensing, added, The universal and instantly recognizable workplace events and personalities familiar to just about everyone in the workplace are cleverly encapsulated in The Corporate Circus, and we are confident this adult targeted brand will capture trade support and consumers imaginations."
As the story goes, a dissatisfied and frustrated worker named Amy is caught up in a boring dead-end job. While attending a focus group to reduce job stress, she falls asleep and imagines an elaborate business fantasy world called The Corporate Circus. In this dream state, her colleagues morph into animated characters and share their own office experiences with her. These characters show her how to create fun in the everyday trials and travails of corporate life. They fantasized with her ways to have and relieve her job stress and in the process they have become her subconscious cheerleadersher messengers, communicators and reminders of office fun. The team of characters ignites Amys imagination and brightens her dull serious workday, giving her an entertainingly colorful perspective of office life.
Adela JP said, " In writing and creating the story, I hoped to tap into common concepts familiar to most office workers who can respond to and appreciate the exaggerated humorous portrayal of office life depicted in The Corporate Circus book. The story is taking an imaginative fantasy look at employees behavior familiar to anyone who has worked in a structured organization. The Corporate Circus hopes to relieve some of the boredom common in the workplace by helping employees connect with their uninhibited creative inner kid through the utilization of animated office humor characters as office toys to have fun with or as play module or device to dramatize common organizational behavior issues. From employee motivation seminars and other training tools, to an entertaining office soap-opera television series or movie concept for adults (and/or children), The Corporate Circus has unlimited possibilities."
Adela JP added, "The Corporate Circus is a metaphorical look at corporate life emphasizing the fragile, unpredictable yet interestingly amusing human behavior. Amid the important work in the corridors of corporate power, the human need and necessity to have fun and humor at work is often overlooked, yet integral to the success of the companies to which they lend so much of their lives."
Among the most popular characters are the Boss, a fearless Ring Master in clown face whose mission is to promote fun amongst his employees, the Cat, a loyal and protectively sophisticated secretary, the regal marketing lion, the charming bull who heads sales, the warden human resources octopus, the gossiper rat, the defender vulture lawyer, the mail clerk gopher and work horse in operations.
JP hopes that "The Corporate Circus will bring a therapeutic laugh to those living their own Corporate Circus office life, but also offers a whimsical look at business life for those not in the workforce.
Popularity of the new plush line indicates grass roots support for The Corporate Circus concept through a growing awareness of the property's website at www.thecorporatecircus.com .
Adela Josue Polin, President of The Corporate Circus, Inc., founded the company to market the characters she developed. Licensing opportunities ranging from TV shows, publishing, greeting cards, office products, stationery products, apparel, toys, and corporate training seminars and entertainment, theatrical presentation are available from The Corporate Circus.
The concept is striking a chord with people who gravitate to the story based on their own similar experiences. We are happy to bring a smile to those workers who need it most, said JP.
The Corporate Circus, Inc. copyrighted characters, trademark, and concept are drawing interest from a broad range of licensing and entertainment companies appreciative of the marketability of the breakthrough creative property.
