The Certainty Group Announces Total System Performance Rev 3.2 at EMC Technology Summit

The Certainty Group, an independent Oracle® database performance consultancy, today announced at the EMC® Technology Summit the availability of its latest Total System Performance (TSP) toolset.

ORLANDO, FL April 26, 2004 -– The Certainty Group, an independent Oracle® database performance and reliability consultancy, today announced at the EMC® Technology Summit the availability of revision 3.2 of its Total System Performance (TSP) toolset, which provides extended SAN analysis and support of EMC’s DMX-Series storage systems, including the new Symmetrix DMX-2 high performance configurations.

The Certainty Group combines unique TSP technology and proven field knowledge to solve complex problems in mission-critical systems running in an Oracle environment. The company can diagnose problems anywhere in the technology stack in a matter of days, and provide a comprehensive report and technical roadmap with guaranteed, measurable results.

“When emergencies or issues arise in a complex, multi-vendor Oracle environment, the solution typically involves tuning the system, database and business applications,” said Brian Lomasky, co-founder and principal of The Certainty Group. “Without a holistic and objective analysis, deep Oracle database expertise, and broad system and application knowledge, identifying and correcting problems could take months and seem impossible. We eliminate the time sink, financial drain and turmoil these situations can cause for companies.”

Lomasky, along with co-founder Peter Dwyer, are nationally recognized Oracle DBAs and former EMC employees. They have more than 40 years of combined database experience and speak regularly at industry conferences.

The Certainty Group is an exhibitor at the EMC Technology Summit. Attendees are encouraged to visit booth #217 to receive a free Oracle database environment optimization Top 10 list, to enter a drawing for a chance to win a digital camera, and to discuss their Oracle-driven system challenges and issues with The Certainty Group founders.
