August 17, 2004 -- Exclusive Games LLC announced the release of version 1.2 of Tank-o-Box, the complete from-the-ground-up remake of the popular war arcade game "Battle City". Tank-o-Box has become one of the finalists in Microsofts Imagine Cup 2004.

In this battle arcade you must operate the tank and protect your headquarters from the formidable enemy while enduring 50 fiercest tank battles that unfold on the imaginary writing-desk between amusing kids sketches and office stationery. Completing the assignment will not be an easy job as you have to resist the deadly onslaught of 8 different types of tanks and armored vehicles that turn your desk into another Stalingrad. Your survival technique will be to take advantage of the terrain and maneuver between numerous natural and artificial obstacles while preparing for the next gunshot. Along the way, you must collect bonuses ranging from Enemy Freeze and Air Strike to Tank Upgrade and Extra Life as they can significantly increase your survival chances.

In the latest version of Tank-o-Battle players will discover the new Extra mode offering 99 lives to enjoy the non-stop battle with hundreds of tanks, rocket launchers and armed vehicles. Also, you can choose single player or play co-op multiplayer with a friend as you march and fight together against the savage enemy. Featuring 3D digital sound encoded to five full-bandwidth channels, the game exposes players to terrific Dolby Surround sound effects. With the game supporting feedback mouse and joysticks, players may experience even more realistic gameplay than ever before.

The full version of Tank-o-Battle 1.2 features such distinctive functionality as:
- Outstanding 3D graphics and doubly digital sound effects;
- 50 awe-inspiring game levels with totally addictive gameplay;
- 4 types of terrain, 4 seasons, daylight, night and twilight;
- New tanks, rocket launchers and pillboxes;
- Single and two-player co-op modes;
- New Extra mode with the non-stop enemy tank onslaught.

Tank-o-Box is by far the best battle tank arcade I have ever played on PC said Steve Patterson, the game fan. Excellent 3D graphics and 100% realistic sound that can send you to heaven and back! I guess the full version is as much fun as the trial. Thanks for the great game and keep it real!

Tank-o-Box 1.2 runs under Windows 95/ME/2000/XP and requires DirectX 8.0 compatible video and audio cards. The full version of the game costs $19.95 (USD) or 19.95 (EURO). Registered customers are entitled to unlimited gameplay, free upgrades and technical support.
