TIKO unveils Entry Level Enterprise NAS for small and medium size businesses.
Tiko® Computer Corporation Inc an enterprise storage specialist today introduced the Tiko Classic 340 Networked Attached Storage (NAS) server. Enterprise level features that include iSCSI, NDMP and Clustering, with 1TB of storage onboard and a price point of $2.89/GB, Tiko has redefined affordable storage solutions for the small and medium size enterprises.
Orlando, FL September 11, 2004 -- The Tiko Classic 340 is powered by TikoNas® OS ver1.1, a Linux based NAS OS that is minimized and optimized to boot from 64MB of Flash memory module swiftly and safely, booting is achieved in less than 50 seconds.
Critical data needs to be available at all times, the Tiko® Classic 340 is designed with hardware redundancy to keep data flowing 24 x 7 without the penalty of paying a high price, said Abbas Jaffer president, Tiko Computer Corporation. We are firmly committed to provide storage solutions at a lower cost with enterprise level features for the growing storage needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
To provide an efficient, performance-oriented IP-based Storage solution, the Tiko® Classic 340 server supports the ever increasing iSCSI protocol to provide both file I/O and block I/O in a single system as standard option. It also allows configuring IP- based SAN environment with low deployment and management cost. For the growing enterprise, this model of architecture would also leverage a cost-effective entry-level solution incorporating scalability.
The Tiko® NAS servers also provide enterprise of any size the opportunity to address critical storage issues relating to disaster recovery, regulated statutory information requirements, security and a host of other storage paradigms, by utilizing features such as Snapshots, SNMP monitoring, Backup with NDMP, Dynamic Volume Expansion, Clustering Automatic Fail-over, iSCSI and a host of other features at no extra cost to the user.
