The owners educational background is in theology, and his work experience is software development. Merging the two has created a boutique computer consulting company that places a high value on ethics, attention to detail, customer service, and technical innovation.
Robert Thoelen, III began his business with a challenging goal in mind: to have a flexible work schedule that would allow him to either start a church, or assume a pastorate at a church in the Connecticut area. He decided to do both software development and ministry as a vocation. Many Christian leaders over the centuries have worked in addition to their ministerial duties. For example, Paul, an Apostle in the early Christian church, was a tentmaker by trade.
With his theological education from Boston Baptist College, and six years experience working as a software developer, Thoelen was ready to strike out on his own as a consultant. It was a difficult decision to leave a job with benefits, Thoelen says, but I knew that if I didnt make this move, I would have to live the rest of my life wondering what could have happened.
Thoelen states that the company provides a complete portfolio of services for all kinds of businesses. Web site design, custom software programming, and computer consulting are some of the projects that RTCubed has already undertaken. RTCubed also provides consulting services at reduced rates to churches in the area.
When asked how theology and software are similar, he said Software and theology are not as different as some would think. Both require good writing skills, and relentless attention to detail. Applying Christian principles to our business dealings, such as having a high code of ethics, have produced clients that return for repeat business.
RTCubed has the skills and the ability to consult with your business or church.
