Slick Extension for Clipboard Capabilities
Global Clipboard is a utility that dramatically extends cut'n'paste capabilities of user systems. It can store and manage multiple fragments of textual, image and binary data. Clear display of data properties and built-in editing make work with several applications faster and more comfortable.
The major update of Global Clipboard, a multifunctional clipboard manager, has been announced today. Following the course of an ongoing improvement, the program developers reinforced Global Clipboard v2.0 with a new operation mode and extended details for each data type. The second program version features Text Accumulator, an operation mode that adds all copied text to the same fragment to paste it all together into a document. Users can set text separators and save the fragment into a file. Along with it, the program also offers more traditional Single Clipboard and Multiple Clipboard modes. The other feature that distinguishes Global Clipboard v2.0 is detailed description of each copied fragment. Now for each data format the program displays a different set of details. The details are customizable and are easy to adapt to user preferences. Thanks to the improvements made, Global Clipboard v2.0 makes the management of multiple fragments easier and, as a result, improves user productivity.
Global Clipboard extends the existing clipboard functionality without substituting it completely. It allows multiple fragments to be copied and pasted into documents and other files. The program can save all current fragments at the system shut down to make them available after the system restart. When at the end of another busy day in the office you turn off the system, you will lose neither names of precious seniors which you pasted all day into spreadsheets nor screenshots waiting to be processed. Global Clipboard will store them for you to start a new day from the same spot where you left it.
Besides copying and managing fragments, the program allows editing and previewing them. For each of its five main data types Global Clipboard shows a menu of available options. For a text it allows converting the case; for an image - rotation, flipping and colour inversion are available. In addition, the program offers management of fragments of all types, including files, sounds and binary data. Users can preview copied images and bits of text in the main window or a zoomed window invoked with a mouse click. For other data types they can see details on size and format. Fast on-the-go preview and editing helps easily manage multiple fragments and raise the efficiency of work.
Global Clipboard v2.0 presents its extensive functionality to the user in a comfortable and unobtrusive way. It resides in the system tray and communicates through balloon hints and pop-up windows. The main window, however, is easily fixed on top of others with just one click on the toolbar. All operations on clipboard items are performed with hotkey combinations, so that advanced users can cut and paste entirely from the keyboard. From the program settings users can easily change existing hotkeys and add new ones. Here you can also automate some of the clipboard operations. For example, when detecting a hyperlink or an e-mail address, Global Clipboard can launch the appropriate application. Now when you find a non-clickable link in the text, your clipboard manager will automatically recognize it and launch a web browser or an email program.
