SetFocus Innovative Training Program Helps US Software Developers Regain Job Marketability
SetFocus .NET Masters Program Graduates make positive impact in US IT workforce.
Parsippany, NJ April 12, 2004 - As global outsourcing takes center stage; SetFocus, a leader in .NET Training and Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions, announces their 2003 Masters Program Employment Statistics, a number that far exceeded expectations in a slowly recovering IT job market. Though vocal IT workers continue to raise concerns about their futures and careers, one hundred .NET Developers hit the domestic IT workforce following the successful completion of SetFocus .NET Masters Program, an overwhelming 94% of all graduates in 2003.
Mary Alice ONeill, Director of SetFocus Career Development states, Many IT firms continue to outsource low level coding jobs which require little to no client interaction. However, our .NET Masters Program graduates are being hired as project leads, project managers, liaisons with clients, as well as liaisons with these offshore development groups. This is due in large part to the fact that there are still hundreds of positions that remain vital to application development which rely upon critical client interaction or face time. The domestic IT market is still hot for mid to high level .NET Developers with impeccable technical and soft skills, and I believe our 2003 statistics confirm this point.
A recent article published by the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) states, The future success of the U.S. IT Industry will depend on the availability of a deep pool of talented IT workers. U.S. IT workers are now and must continue to be the best in the world.
SetFocus concurs with the ITAAs statement and has developed a proven model which continues to grow this deep pool of necessary IT talent. During the thirteen week full time program, SetFocus Masters Program students write up to 10,000 lines of .NET code while submitting projects and taking exams on a weekly basis. In addition to this already rigorous schedule, many Masters Program students are simultaneously attaining their Microsoft Certification (MCAD) in Microsoft C# or Microsoft Visual Basic.NET.
