Search Engine Optimization, Inc. Becomes an Affiliate Member of the W3C World Wide Web Consortium.

Carlsbad, CA July 21, 2004 -- Search Engine Optimization, Inc., a leader in the search engine optimization field, announced today that it has become an affiliate member of the World Wide Web Consortium.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) was created in October 1994 to lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing common protocols that promote its evolution and ensure its interoperability. In just over seven years, W3C has developed more than fifty technical specifications for the Web's infrastructure.
"We are honored to become an affiliate member of the World Wide Web Consortium. Future goals of the World Wide Web Consortium include:
Universal Access: To make the Web accessible to all by promoting technologies that take into account the vast differences in culture, language, education, ability, material resources, access devices, and physical limitations of users on all continents.
Semantic Web: To develop a software environment that permits each user to make the best use of the resources available on the Web.
Web of Trust: To guide the Web's development with careful consideration for the novel legal, commercial, and social issues raised by this technology.
Other goals of the World Wide Web Consortium are ensuring access to the Web by many devices (PDAs, cell phones, etc.), promoting best practices, coordinating with international regulatory bodies, accounting for cultural diversity, and encouraging research.
Many of these issues are key to the evolution of search engines, and as a result, Search Engine Optimizations client work and future growth.
