NetStaller is an installation manager for Windows Installer packages that relieves IT staff of the burden of distributing software across the network. The administrative privilege on a server allows you to easily rollout and remove software on a chosen client group without revising group policies.
PalickSoft announces today the release of the second major version of the installation manager NetStaller. It promises to become a new bonanza in IT management by automating the repetitive task of software rollout and removal across the network. Among new features found in NetStaller is the remote monitoring of client systems for installed software packages. Selective installation will also facilitate the evaluation of pilot software before committing your organisation to a full-scale rollout.

To run remote installation or removal, NetStaller requires an MSI package, which is supplied together with program files and components. Windows Installer uses the MSI package to perform setup actions and configure the installation on a client PC. The technology is supported by NT-based systems (Windows 2000 and XP) and 90% of other systems in Windows family. NetStaller offers the acceleration of IT management performance through the separate processing of client threads. Controlled system reboot allows installing or removing software packages in the background without interference into the user’s performance on client PCs or even drawing their attention to the configuration changes.
