ReleaseTEAM, Inc announces the release of ClearConn 1.0

Westminster, Co. January 13, 2003. ReleaseTEAM releases ClearConn1.0 , an add-on to Rational Software's ClearQuest® and ClearCase® Products is released at version 1.0. ClearConn is a ClearQuest and ClearCase integration, which combines some of the most frequently requested integration features into one package. This easily installed and configured utility will add speed and robustness to integrated ClearCase/ClearQuest environments

ReleaseTEAM's newest product, ClearConn, an add-on to Rational Software's ClearQuest® and ClearCase® Products is released at version 1.0. ClearConn is a ClearQuest and ClearCase integration, which combines some of the most frequently requested integration features into one package. This easily installed and configured utility will add speed and robustness to integrated ClearCase/ClearQuest environments

ClearConn uses a two tier, client-server approach that both gathers relevant information and greatly reduces elapsed time during checkout, uncheckout, and checkin operations. Performance of affected ClearCase operations is improved dramatically compared to alternative solutions by requiring only one call to the ClearQuest API, even if multiple files are being operated on in a series. The call is used to retrieve all defect records that might be applicable to the operation. The user then chooses a defect record to associate the ClearCase operation with and the operation continues as normal.

ClearConn Version 1.0 began shipping on January 13th, 2003.

ClearConn licensing typically requires only 1 license per organization. At most sites, all VOBs can be integrated for less than the cost of a single ClearCase license.
