Roberts is scheduled to speak at the session named, “Building End-User productivity into SAP business processes with Microsoft BizTalk & SharePoint Portal”. During this session, Roberts reveals how his firm used the Microsoft’s technology to achieve the following significant results for Powell Electronics:
• Improve production productivity by 40% by organizing and consolidating similar orders into more economical production-lot sizes.
• Increase on-time customer delivery from 92%- 94% range to above 98%.
• Eliminate the risk of errors introduce from manual order entry by automating order entry for complex key account orders.
• Reduce loss time for manually correcting data errors and allow ease for non-technical staff to fix errors via a user-friendly interface. Data entry errors were difficult to fix in SAP and required heavy IT support.
• Save at least 20 salespeople man-hours per week by automating the order entry. This freed their salespeople’s to focus on growing the firm’s business.
