Radcliff Joins Schwartaus Security Awareness Team
SEMINOLE, FL July 15, 2004 - Deborah Radcliff, the award-winning Information Security and Computer Industry writer, has joined Winn Schwartaus InterPact Inc., The Security Awareness Company, as a subject matter expert for the companys newly expanded security awareness programs.
Radcliffs experience and technical writing skills will be used for developing online training courses on hundreds of topics related to The Security Awareness Company's products and services.
We work with our clients to educate their users in an effective, yet entertaining way, said Schwartau, president of The Security Awareness Company. Deb fits into our corporate culture and will help us convey our message that information security policies and procedures need to be understood and followed by everyone in an organization.
General users are the ones getting hit with viruses, worms, spyware and other malware that they don't know about or understand, said Radcliff. They unwittingly let attackers and malware into their places of employment and I see working with Winn as a great opportunity to educate users and keep them interested in security programs.
Radcliff has won four prestigious awards for her work, including two Jesse H. Neal Awards by the American Business Press: one for best individual feature for her cover story, Hackers, Terrorists and Spies (Software Magazine, 1998) and a second for group reporting, best news story, Computerworld, Wireless LANs: Trouble in the Air 2003. The Software Magazine story also won best regional and national feature by the American Society of Business Press Editors.
She currently serves as president of the Freelance Business and Technology Writer's Association and has written articles and columns for dozens of trade magazines. Most recently, Radcliff wrote for consumer magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens. In the past, her work was picked up regularly by CNN, The Register, hundreds of online magazines, Department of Defense publications and was featured in several educational textbooks.
InterPact Inc., the Security Awareness Company, offers custom and pre-packaged programs designed for the Security Clueless in a variety of different industries. Winn Schwartau, president of InterPact, is known worldwide for his expertise in the Information Security Industry.
