Protedyne Corporation, a leading laboratory automation supplier, today announced that Dr. Anthony Martin will join the companys board of directors.
Windsor, CT August 27, 2004 - Protedyne Corporation, a leading laboratory automation supplier, today announced that Dr. Anthony Martin will join the companys board of directors.
Dr. Martin was formerly chairman, president and CEO of Molecular Probes Inc, a worldwide provider of fluorescence-based detection products and solutions that advance biomedical and other scientific research. At Molecular Probes, Dr. Martin was responsible for setting the companys business strategy and increased profits by 20% per year. The strengthening of the company led to its successful acquisition by Invitrogen, where Dr. Martin had served as president of the Molecular Biology division.
I am greatly impressed by what Protedyne is bringing to our industry, said Dr. Martin. The BioCube System is changing how laboratories use automation, and Im excited to be part of the future of this dynamic company."
One of my goals was to add experienced leaders to our board of directors, commented Don Schoeny, president of Protedyne. I feel most fortunate to have Tony Martin, a global veteran in biotechnology, agree to sit on our board. Protedynes growth this year has been astounding. To have an industry leader of Tonys caliber place his confidence in Protedyne speaks to the bright future of this company.
