Powergate Technologies Announces Release of The Samurai Code Better Behavior Wheel Software v.2.0

Powergate Technologies L.L.C. recently released a new shareware title for parents seeking an easy way to help their children model good behavior.

The program is based on the concept that children who misbehave adopt better behavior when faced with inevitable consequences. The impact of the interactive program is increased when parents sit down with their child to discuss appropriate consequences for negative behaviors that the parents desire to see eliminated like temper tantrums, for example.

This type of program is known as behavior wheel software. The Samurai Code is designed to generate random consequences for various kinds of behavior by spinning a colorful wheel. After a "behavior", the child clicks on his Avatar, which is an image of a role model or "hero" the child has previously chosen. Then, the type of misbehavior is selected and the child "spins the behavior wheel" by pressing a button. Sound effects and brightly spinning images complete the process until the pointer lands on one of several previously entered consequences. All consequences and rewards are tracked via a points system.

The program has many unique behavior modification features including the weekly point system permitting siblings to compete for weekly rewards.

Mr. Davies says: "Children rapidly learn appropriate behavior because they lose points and face unpleasant consequences when they misbehave and are rewarded with points and incentives for exemplary behavior."

The shareware also comes in a "professional" version suitable for use by elementary schools, juvenile detention centers and foster homes.
