Parvus to Unveil the SpacePC® 4320 Pentium® Class PC/104-Plus Computer at Military and Aerospace Electronics West 2003
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA - December 1, 2003 - Parvus® Corporation will be displaying its new SpacePC® 4320 embedded computer at the Military and Aerospace Electronics West 2003 show (Booth #606) from December 2-3 at the San Diego Concourse.
Based on the Pentium® MMX class AMD Geode GX1 CPU, the 4320 Series is a low-power PC/104-Plus single board computer (SBC) ideal for space-constrained applications requiring the performance of the x86 Intel architecture, yet in a compact, fanless format - roughly the size of a floppy disk (3.550 x 3.775).
FEATURES
Running at clock speeds of 266MHz and equipped with 128MB of soldered SDRAM, the 4320 Series provides embedded systems designers in aviation, defense, transportation, and industrial applications with a tightly integrated computer, attractively priced at $372/per unit in volume orders of 100+ units. It is available in both standard (0ºC to +60ºC) and extended (-40ºC to +85ºC) temperature rated versions.
This space-saving PC/104-Plus module couples all of the standard interfaces of a desktop PC with support for both Windows® and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), such as Linux®, QNX® and VxWorks®. Integrated peripheral controllers include SVGA (resolution up to 1280x1024 pixels), two serial ports, one parallel port, one Fast Ethernet controller, one E-IDE interface, keyboard, mouse, USB port, and AC7 sound port. The BIOS is stored in a 1MB EPROM, which comes pre-loaded with a ROM-DOS kernel to facilitate rapid implementation.
FREE EVALUATION
While supplies last, a limited quantity of the SpacePC 4320 CPU will be available for free evaluation. Visit www.SpacePC.com for more information about the whole line of SpacePC PC/104 and PC/104-Plus CPU modules or call 800-483-3152 to place an order.
MILITARY EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
Parvus will also be displaying various military computing devices and rugged avionics LCD displays, which were custom designed for the U.S. military for use in aircraft and ground vehicles. Most of these rugged systems are based on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) enclosures and PC/104 computer boards developed by Parvus.
