December, 2005- Paragon Software Group, the European specialist for innovative data security and data management technology, launches Drive Copy 8.0- a software for real-time hard disk copy, personal/corporate data and applications migration, disk-to-disk backup and basic hard disk partitioning operations.
Paragon Drive Copy was created as a stand-along product, realized in two editions- personal and professional ones, empowered with functions that allow each target group of users derive the best benefit from their PCs at home or at work.
Personal Edition gives an opportunity for home users to accomplish simple and easy-to-use data migration in case of old hard drive retiring or upgrade. With unique One Button Copy Wizard and external USB, FireWire hard drives support it's really easy to make a quick backup copy of hard drive, you can boot from right away. It really saves your time when you perform routine drive copy operations or you just don't want to learn much about hard disks. All you have to do is to run One Button Copy Wizard with one mouse click and it will automatically find hard drive to copy, new hard drive and perform drive copy operation.
Moreover, all the operations are realized through the user-friendly graphical interface in Windows XP style that makes the process much easier and far from time-consuming.
As for Professional Edition here we should say more: due to innovative Hot Copy® technology your hard disk will be copied with all the "files in use" and working operating system without interrupting it, all the applications remain online during data movement without significant performance delays. Along with new unique functions based on Paragon technologies, Drive Copy 8.0 Professional Edition presents a row of strong functions, such as:
1) Real-time copy of server disks,
2) Automate copy operations- here we should say more about another benefit of Paragon solution- Drive Copy CD image with included Unpack&Burn Wizard: you receive this image as a separate .exe file. It allows you to create bootable Recovery CD or DVD with fully functional Drive Copy. You don't have to use third party utilities to burn Drive Copy CD or DVD, just follow Unpack&Burn Wizard.
3) Cloning of hard disks/separate partitions (primary, extended, logical),
4) Basic partitioning operations (create, delete, format)- in case of accidental deletion of your hard disk partitions (or one of them) during system optimization or new hard disk deployment, you can restore your data with Drive Copy's Undelete Partition Wizard.
