PanIO Systems Introduces Disaster Prevention and Recovery Software for Documents

PanIO Systems, headquartered in Miami, Florida, USA, introduced its DocShield software this week. DocShield, short for "Document Shield" is designed for Windows operating systems that can also run the Microsoft .NET framework. This includes Windows XP, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, and Windows 2003.
"We felt that there was a real need for this type of software" said Victoria Zambrano, a PanIO Systems
representative. "We found that even when organizations utilize standard 'backup software, it simply does not provide the level of granularity and control offered by DocShield". "With our ever increasing dependence on electronic documents, many businesses and organizations are at risk relying only on system backups".
Ms Zambrano cited a specific case where an employee at a translation agency accidentally overwrote a
document she had been working on for three days. "The agency's backup strategy had a gaping hole in it.
The result was three days of lost productivity. It's an expensive price to pay". "With DocShield, this never would have happened". "In fact, the employee could have recovered any portion of the document as it was at any point in time since its creation". "People who work with documents don't need to just hope that their organization's backup strategy will protect them". "Backups are there and they serve a useful purpose, but DocShield gives the individual contributor a level of control that they could never have with standard backup software".
