PSC Inc Names Jack Farrell President and CEO
PSC, Inc., a global provider of data-capture products, today announced that Jack Farrell, a mobile and wireless industry veteran, has joined the company as president and CEO.
Eugene, OR August 22, 2004 -- PSC, Inc., a global provider of data-capture products, today announced that Jack Farrell, a mobile and wireless industry veteran, has joined the company as president and CEO. The announcement was made by Michael Klein, president of private equity firm Littlejohn & Co. LLC, PSCs owner.
We view the addition of Jack Farrell as one of the most strategic appointments in PSCs history, said Klein. In addition to his industry experience, he is a natural leader with a successful track record in helping organizations meet their full potential. Jack solidifies our strong senior management team and provides the leadership and depth to execute our customer focused growth strategy.
Farrell will focus on positioning PSC as a premium provider of data-capture solutions to key customers and business partners. Our mission is to be the industry leader in customer focus, service and support by providing innovative product solutions that maximize the profitability of target customers, Farrell said. PSC has an excellent team and I look forward to working with them to build on the momentum generated over the past year. The foundation established by this group in fixed and handheld scanning and the emergence of mobile and wireless affords the organization an outstanding opportunity to grow the existing markets and evaluate new unserved segments.
Most recently, Farrell served as CEO for Axian Broadband in Columbus, OH, a leading provider of residential fulfillment services to the cable television industry. Previously, he was a vice president and general manager of Scientific Atlanta, president of LXE, the wireless product group for EMS Technologies in Atlanta, and COO and senior vice president of sales and marketing for Atlanta-based OKI Telecom after his 17-year tenure with GE.
