Opilion Software releases DocToHtml 1.00 - MS Word to HTML conversion utility for webdesigners

21 March, 2010 - Opilion Software is pleased to announce DocToHtml 1.00, a tool that allows conversion of MS Word documents to small, clean, style-formatted, customizable "web" HTML pages, for benefits of all webmasters and webdesigners.

DocToHtml allows one to turn existing Word documents into ready-to-publish HTML pages without any unnecessary "garbage" HTML tags and attributes. DocToHtml does not rely on built-in Microsoft converter and post-process clean-up, instead it performs conversion completely by itself. This approach, combined with carefully tailored optimization algorithms, leads to very compact and clean output, in order of several times smaller than that produced by MS Word itself and other clean-up utilities. At the same time, DocToHtml retains original formatting, so that in most cases converted documents look the same as if they were converted using built-in Microsoft function.

The product allows user to fully control output by various settings. For example, it is possible to specify output images format - GIF, PNG or JPEG, whether or not to split document by headings, override metatags values (author, keywords, etc.), include additional css files, insert links to external css, choose capitalization rules for HTML tags, choose low-level generated HTML code details, such as using of linebreaks and quotes, remove certain formatting attributes, ans so on.

The program also allows one to perform batch conversion the set of files and folders, with separate customizable settings for each. Conversion project with these settings can be saved and used later, to avoid double work.

The program requires MS Word 2000 or higher.

Availability and Pricing

Trial version is available for download from our site, http://opilsoft.com. Trial version works for only 30 days and some features are not available in that version, but it allows to evaluate software and ensure that it fits one's specific needs. To use DocToHtml after 30-days evaluation period, one must purchase a license. Single-user license costs $39.
