Denver, CO, October 2, 2007 - OpenGate Software, provider of Microsoft Access application tools, announced today the general availability of UI Builder 2.0, which offers greater flexibility and capability to Microsoft Access enthusiasts and developers.
UI Builder 2.0 offers a new level of out-of-the-box capabilities for Microsoft Access, said Brandon Smith-Daigle, President of OpenGate Software. Our approach has been to help customers create more powerful Microsoft Access databases, without re-creating the wheel. Features like attractive user level menus, easier mail merge, event logging, and advanced administrative options are needed universally by Access developers. We see UI Builder as the framework that people can build upon, allowing them to focus on the really important aspects of table and form design instead of spending time learning how to introduce commonplace capabilities.
UI Builder 2.0 includes several major new features intended to reduce the time to develop and maintain Microsoft Access databases, minimize user training requirements, and enable greater functionality without Visual Basic for Applications expertise.
We find that Microsoft Access databases tend to grow organically, with the creator beginning at a basic level, spending a significant amount of time to learn how to incorporate the features needed to save users time and frustration, said Smith-Daigle. With our newest release, weve incorporated more functionality that will reduce the time, and expertise, required to create really powerful databases.
