June 11, 2008 - Toronto, Canada – The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) will discuss the interoperability of Social Mobile Networks at the upcoming 2008 Wireless & Mobile Expo and Conference, scheduled on July 15 & 16, 2008 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada.
As millions of new users join social networks each month, the ability to connect to friends and colleagues from anywhere on any device is a natural evolution of today’s social networking communities. In fact, social networks are a natural extension of mobile networks – what is a "friends and family plan" if not a social network? With more handsets connected to the Internet than computers, device manufacturers and operators already understand the value of these new communities.
