New Technology Companies Benefit from New Online Business Training Program

San Diego, CA October 26, 2004 -- The San Diego Regional Technical Alliance (RTA), an organization providing direct business assistance to tech entrepreneurs and high tech and biotech companies, has partnered with the multi-media e-Learning technology of Training4Business for RTA’s online training.

RTA’s new e-Learning website, DesktopEd, hosted by and using Training4Business’ CourseWare Learning Management System, features affordable entrepreneurship and online education for technology and life science company founders, small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs.

The online classes provide information fundamental to the development of a technology-based enterprise and they include Tech Business Basics, Technology Commercialization and Federal Grants.

According to RTA President and CEO, Tyler Orion, "Our mission is to promote sustainable technology growth in our region by fostering technology and competitiveness. We're making use of the easy-to-use online training system developed by Training4Business. Their interactive CourseWare Learning Management System provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to quickly understand and benefit from our wide-range of online business training and educational programs."

RTA’s programs include Business Acceleration Workshops; Grant Search and Venture Roundtables for entrepreneurs; Community Technology Consulting to help bring computer access and literacy to San Diego’s community centers to bridge the digital divide; and Research to help increase local awareness of the public policy issues critical to the growth of our technology economy.
