Offshore Brazilian IT Outsourcing Services

Vision TREs focus will be on delivering same time zone services to U.S. clients as staff augmentation for short and medium term projects where highly trained skills sets are needed for a limited time to complete projects that mid-size companies or divisions of larger companies just dont have the budget for at local billing rates.
Leading IT advisory firm Gartner predicts one out of 10 jobs at U.S. IT companies will move offshore. Most of the offshore work is done in India, however, time zone and cultural differences create many challenges. The time zone difference alone requires India to look for entire projects to manage where Brazilian professionals will be able to work as remote members of domestic development groups. "Vision TREs strategy is to provide offshore English speaking IT professionals to U.S. concerns at very competitive bill rates compared to local talent. Although the hourly rate maybe a little higher than India or China, projects can be completed faster because project teams will have only a 1-3 hour time difference as compared to about 10 hour in the case of India and 13 for parts of China states William Johns, founder of Vision TRE, Inc. With 10 and 13 hour time differences whole projects have to be outsourced instead of simple skills augmentations. It is as easy for someone in New York to work remotely with someone in Sao Paulo as it is to work with someone in Los Angeles. When it comes to remote workers, distance is becoming less and less of an issue but the human factor such as time-of-day and culture maybe a very different challenge for technology to solve. Project teams located in close time zones can communicate and even collaborate several times a day if needed.
Vision TRE sees Brazil overcoming its inexperience in selling software and services to US markets, as its biggest challenge to capturing more of the U.S. IT outsourcing market. Brazil is known for its well-developed national software and services market worth over US$ 7.7 billion (2001), which is roughly equivalent to that of India, but its lack of exports ($US 100 million compared to India's $US 6 billion) demonstrates its weakness in penetrating US markets.
